Discord "it was me at UVU" message
Reporting: in a private Discord group ~an hour after the shooting Robinson joked about a doppelgänger, then later wrote he was the person at UVU and was about to surrender through a sheriff friend. Account later suspended.
Need Discord’s law-enforcement production, not recaps. A written confession in a friend group, if authentic, is powerful. It is also the easiest thing to misquote. Status contested until we hold the export.
Split from the Twiggs phone thread. Discord’s spokesperson said Cox’s 12 Sep quotes about a towel-wrapped rifle were not Discord DMs; they were the roommate recounting a note. The alleged later group-chat line (“It was me at UVU yesterday”) is a different message, reported via news, not via Discord’s press statement. Patel told the Senate 20+ users in that group would be questioned.
