Empty holster in the grass

Evidence Inconclusive Circumstantial News copy physical

Bagley: empty pistol holster in the grass after the shot; he ignored it because the report sounded like a rifle. Nester: another officer's report said a gun was in the holster. Hull: an unfired round on a different roof was an officer ejecting a rifle cartridge.

Two officer descriptions of the same holster cannot both be right without the native reports. This is the kind of first-hour mess that conspiracy claims feed on. It is also the kind of mess that happens at a panicked outdoor scene. Log it. Do not promote a second gunman from a holster dispute.
