Former UVU officer. First to the Losee roof. Found a gravel sniper pad, no spent brass, then an empty holster in the grass. Bodycam died on the roof. Said Chief Long was next to him when they agreed it was a rifle shot. Charging: he judged the roof about 160 yards from Kirk.
Nester used Bagley on security gaps: no magnetometers, no drones, no security debrief he knew of. A second officer’s report, introduced through Hull, said a gun was found in the holster. Those two descriptions need the native reports side by side. Bodycam stop on the pad is a first-hour hole, not by itself a cover-up. The 160-yard figure is his charging-paper estimate; other recaps use 142 yards / 430 feet.
