Judge Graf approved a pretrial protective order for her in Sep 2025. She filed for a speedy trial in Jan 2026 citing delay. She supported cameras in the courtroom and, through attorney Jeffrey Neiman, asked that prelim exhibits be shown without redaction. Graf denied the unredacted-exhibits request. After the July 2026 hearing the family asked for a bindover ruling by 1 Sep.
Owens has targeted TPUSA finances, security, Egyptian flights overlapping Erika’s travel, and Erika personally. Erika’s public line, in an interview: “Stop.” They met 16 Dec 2025. Erika called that conversation productive. Owens said her suspicions of some TPUSA staff and of an Israeli angle were not assuaged. The feud resumed around the July 2026 hearing.
She attended the prelim. She left the room when shooting video was described. That is a widow in a homicide courtroom, not a party to the state’s theory.
